My First Belgian Body Pump!

So only about a month after being here and about 2 months since I have been at the gym, I finally got my lazy but to my first Belgian Body Pump class!

About a week ago we found a gym that actually has the Les Milles classes, so Dustin talked to one of the employees and got a free week pass.  Although I usually prefer working out by myself (its my me time!) I was determined to coax Dustin into going with me so I'd have another English-speaking person in the class!  He's come to a class with me before and was not a fan, but he was a great sport tonight!

I really enjoyed the class!   It felt great to work out again and I always loved taking the class back at home. The instructor was great, so full of energy and really welcoming.  She even jammed out to "Eye of the Tiger," perfectly reciting every line!  But I could definitely tell it had been awhile since I had hit the gym.  About halfway through I felt like I was in a French boot camp!

So an hour later my legs were shakey and my arms were tight, but all I could do was smile and think... I SURVIVED!  Now I am determined to keep up with some sort of exercise regimen!

To add to a healthy lifestyle, I started a two week clean eating program.  Our first dinner: grilled salmon, lentils, and beet soup... Yummy!
